This session is targeted at researchers interested in geospatial applications of AI, who may be more advanced users, but it should be relatively accessible, especially for those with GIS experience. Demonstrations will involve exploring ICN sites in the context of their microclimates and land uses across Illinois, and habitat zones for species of interest. This session will use tools such as ArcPy, TorchGeo, and PyTorch, as well as more basic Python libraries, and apply AI-based clustering and other methods to explore both station-based and spatial datasets. Participants will come away with the ability to use several geospatial AI tools.
