Rodrigo M. Braga, Ph.D Assistant Professor, Ken & Ruth Davee Department of Neurology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, will present, "Detailed Functional Anatomy of Large-Scale Brain Networks Revealed by Precision fMRI at 7T .”
In this talk, I will present recent insights into the functional organization of large-scale brain networks, derived from analysis of high-resolution neuroimaging data. By defining brain networks within individuals ("Precision fMRI") and further enhancing spatial resolution through 7T MRI, we have uncovered neuroanatomical details that were previously inaccessible, including the discovery of small network regions within the medial temporal lobe, including specific amygdala subnuclei. These discoveries offer insights into the subcortical foundations of broader functional differences between large-scale neocortical networks in the human brain.
