In this webinar, we will discuss mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect and further explore the impact that implicit bias has on making reports. There are some instances where the decision to contact the child abuse and neglect hotline is a clear decision. However, at other times, we may feel conflicted as to whether to make the call or not, is there another way to support the child and family. We will discuss how to make the most appropriate decisions and reflect on how personal history, experiences and culture might have on our perspective of what we are seeing or observing.
