October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To support our community, the Student National Medical Association Rockford chapter is collecting therapeutic art supplies for the
Rockford Remedies shelter. Remedies is the only domestic violence shelter and advocacy agency in Winnebago and Boone counties. The shelter serves about 2,000 victims of domestic violence every year.
The donation box will be located on the first floor near the front desk October 11-November 11. Needed items include paint brushes, paints, canvas, journals, notebooks, markers, colored pencils, play dough, gel pens, poster board, construction paper and spiral notebooks.
