Meeting ID: 873 5246 6689 | Password: 089741We’ve long known that predation is a major limiting factor for bird populations, but only recently has technology allowed us to gain a better understanding of interactions between birds and their predators. Despite our improved knowledge of the identity and ecology of these predators, bird biologists still tend to view each bird species as unique and nuanced while treating their taxonomically and ecologically diverse predators as a uniform group. A more balanced view, however, may allow an improved understanding of avian ecology and conservation strategies.
