Abstract: The Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) tracks changes in Alberta’s wildlife and their habitats from border to border. Since 2007, we’ve visited hundreds of terrestrial and wetland sites to monitor everything from soil mites to mammals across an area roughly the size of Texas. We have also helped produce maps and geospatial datasets covering the entire province for wetlands, human footprint, and more. Together, these datasets help us understand how and why wildlife and their habitats are changing.
