Please join our Real Talk series- meeting Dr. Kononov.
Dr. Alina Kononov, a UIUC alumna (Schleife group), is currently a researcher at Sandia National Laboratories. In her talk, she will provide a broad overview of her work in first-principles modeling of materials under extreme conditions and quantum computing. She will also share insights into the Sandia National Lab, discuss career opportunities and research at the national lab, and reflect on her educational and professional journey from UIUC to Sandia.
We highly encourage students and postdocs from ANY areas who are interested in materials /physics research, national labs, and STEM career opportunities to attend. Hope to see you there.
