PEOPLE, POLICING AND THE PANDEMIC
ROUNDTABLE OF CHAMPAIGN-URBANA and TRANSNATIONAL YOUTH

THURSDAY JUNE 25, 3PM – 4:30PM CENTRAL

George Floyd, an unarmed African American man, was killed by police officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25, 2020. Many other African-American men and women have also been killed. Massive demonstrations have broken out around the world to publicize and protest the widespread epidemic of police brutality in communities of color and the marginalized. Local and international youth will share ideas and reflections on the current situation in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
