The MLK Champions Recognition program is an annual program by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's MLK Commemorative Planning Committee. It honors individuals and partners who embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through social action. The featured keynote for the evening will be Justin J. Pearson, Tennessee State Representative and nationally recognized community organizer whose leadership centers justice, equity, and community empowerment.
