Riccardo Muti’s Cherubini Orchestra Cello Quartet will perform in Urbana as part of a five-city tour organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. The concert program combines original repertoire with great masterpieces of Italian opera, featuring works by Fitzenhagen, Goltermann, Klengel, and Sollima, as well as transcriptions of famous arias and preludes ranging from Monteverdi to Puccini. The event is free and open to the public.
