Ben Austen will be in C-U for an author talk hosted by Education Justice Project to discuss his highly-anticipated new book Correction: Parole, Prison, and the Possibility of Change. A journalist from Chicago, Ben is a former editor at Harper's Magazine, and the co-host of the podcast Some of My Best Friends Are. His feature writing has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, GQ, Wired and many other publications. He teaches creative writing at the University of Chicago.
