First Tuesday Interfaith Dialogue presents
Sexual Violence and Religious Communities
Tuesday, April 5th from 7-8pm
Murphy Lounge, University YMCA (1001 S. Wright St., Champaign)
Nearly 1 in 4 college students have experienced sexual assault, including students of all religious, spiritual, and secular identities. How do our religious and spiritual communities respond to survivors of sexual violence? How can we address sexual violence through an interfaith perspective? Join Nora Peterson, Associate Director of Prevention at the Women’s Resources Center, and Ross Wantland from Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for a guided discussion about sexual violence in and around religious communities. All are welcome! This dialogue is part of April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month events. For more information on campus resources on sexual violence, visit http://wecare.illinois.edu
