I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2005 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in General Engineering. After graduating, I spent a brief period as a project manager, opening up restaurants around the Midwest.

For the past 15 years, I have been working with Kinectrics, an Engineering Consulting firm that provides design and testing services for the nuclear power industry. I began my career at Kinectrics as a Junior Engineer in their civil/mechanical department. I'm now a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in several states, including Illinois. I currently serve as the company's Engineering Training Manager. In that role, I foster the development of our team's engineers and ensure they have the necessary technical and procedural training to help assist our clients on a wide array of topics. I also work with our more junior engineers as they transition from college life to work life. This includes providing help and training for them to get their P.E. licenses. And I work assisting our more veteran P.E.s to help maintain their licenses.

In addition to these activities, I oversee a group of engineers that focus on civil/structural/piping design. My team of six (6) engineers range from 2 years of experience to 35 years of experience. Our group focuses on the fleet of existing Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs) and Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs) across the US and is involved in the design of various new testing facilities for the next generation of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).
