This special event is for doctors, nurses, residents, fellows, nurse midwives, neonatal nurse practitioners & lactation specialists who wish to learn, share ideas and gain tactical solutions to some of today’s COVID related healthcare challenges.
Purpose:
To provide updated information on the rapidly evolving knowledge base about COVID-19 in the perinatal period. Participants will be better equipped to follow current guidance for care and vaccination of pregnant women and newborns.
After this event, participants should be able to:
- Appraise how evidence has driven perinatal practice change in the pandemic.
- Describe three things your hospital could do to alleviate perinatal health disparities.
- Reflect on the ethics of resource allocation across the lifespan in an emergency.
- Apply current guidance on vaccinating pregnant women against COVID-19.
