Educated at the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago, and after spending almost 30 years in the telecommunications industry, beginning with AT&T Bell Labs and finishing that segment of his career as a global vice-president at the data center giant Equinix, Andy Sigle has entered the next phase of his work-life focusing on his local community of Reston, Virginia.
Graduating from the Leadership Fairfax program in 2014, Andy switched gears and embarked on a series of volunteer and part-time employment opportunities in the community including time with Cornerstones (a human services delivery non-profit), Reston Association (quasi local government), South Lakes High School PTSA, Southgate Community Center, Reston Historic Trust and The Reston Chorale. A proud recipient of the 2018 Best of Reston award, Andy is immediate past president of the Reston Association board of directors, recently left Leadership Fairfax, Inc. as their part-time Chief Operating Officer, and is now a part time parent liaison for Fairfax County Public Schools at a Title 1 elementary school.
