Pizza, Lecture, Meet & Greet
Please join us for pizza and a lecture with Rob Neely from LLNL. The Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) serves as Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s window to the broader computer science, computational physics, applied mathematics, and data science research communities. In collaboration with academic, industrial, and other government laboratory partners, CASC is conducting world-class scientific research and development on problems critical to national security and foundational scientific advancements. You are cordially invited to join Rob Neely (UIUC CS alumni 1994) to learn about the CASC mission and the opportunities to join LLNL (located in the California Bay Area) as they lead the way into a new era of High-Performance Computing, Mathematics, and Data Science that blends cutting-edge research with mission-oriented programs of national importance. The delivery of the Sierra system (currently #2 in the world) and plans for an Exascale system in 2022 makes CASC and LLNL an exciting option for graduates looking to help build a vision of a new HPC and AI-based paradigm the new reality in tackling our biggest scientific and social challenges facing the world today.
