On March 10th, 2026, the Office of Faculty Affairs & Development invites you to join our Accessibility Workshop on Pope Tech and Making PDFs accessible. This interactive session focus on practical strategies, tools, and examples to help you design inclusive, accessible teaching materials across formats and to meet Title II ADA requirements.
Why This Matters
Ensuring our teaching materials are accessible is not only central to CI MED’s commitment to inclusive learning but also required by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This series is designed to help faculty and staff apply accessibility tools and strategies with confidence while meeting compliance standards.
Featured Guest Presenter
We are pleased to partner with Marc Thompson, PhD, Program Director, Information Accessibility Design & Policy (IADP), University of Illinois.
Dr. Thompson has 38 years of university teaching experience and over 25 years in online instruction and instructional design. He serves as the accessibility liaison for the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning and leads the Education & Training Implementation team for the Digital Accessibility and Excellence Title II initiative. He presents nationally on universal design for learning, accessible course content, and LMS/web-conferencing accessibility, and has authored on teaching accessibility and inclusive design.
