The Perry Initiative will hold a Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at Carle Illinois College of Medicine University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, IL. The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day, hands-on experience for high school women who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering. Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments.
The Perry Initiative is currently seeking applicants for the Champaign, IL program. Participants should be students who gender-identify as women or nonbinary in grades 10 and up with an expressed interest in science, medicine and/or engineering. Applicants should fill out our online application in advance of the February 23rd, 2024 application deadline.
