The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute invites Illinois research faculty and professionals to the virtual 2022 Department of Defense (DoD) Grant Seeking Workshop from 10-11:30 a.m. Oct. 31, Nov. 7, and Nov. 14.
The DoD Grant Seeking Workshop aims to help health sciences researchers identify new funding opportunities and better understand the unique requirements and considerations for submitting a strong DoD proposal. The three-session event will include a comprehensive introduction to the DoD, details about the application and review process, a panel of experienced DoD faculty, a presentation by Michael Lotspeich-Yadao, PhD, Assistant Director of Research and Educational Programs at the Chez Veterans Center, and a keynote address by Colonel Sarah B. Goldman, Director of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).
Workshop sessions build upon each other. We highly recommend that you attend all three sessions for the most benefit. Please register even if you cannot attend to receive a video recording of each session following the event.
