The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is excited to host Racism Untaught, an 8-hour training (held virtually over three consecutive Fridays) focused on cultivating learning environments for people to further explore issues of race and racism, from the obvious to the invisible. This training is FREE.

Trainings will be held on the following dates/times:

  • Friday, February 26 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Friday, March 5 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Friday, March 12 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Participants must be able to attend all 8 hours. Space is limited, so register today! Please register by Friday, February 19th.

Racism Untaught teaches participants to utilize the design research process to identify racialized design and critically assess anti-racist design approaches. Facilitated and developed by Lisa Mercer and Terresa Moses, this training is meant for faculty, administrators, and other campus professionals to gain a framework for identifying, contextualizing, and re-imagining forms of racialized design.
