META-ANALYSIS OF HOW MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AFFECT BIOMASS PRODUCTION AND N2O EMISSIONS IN M. X GIGANTEUS SYSTEMS
Renewable energy sources (RES) have been progressively developed with a focus on mitigating climate change, reducing GHG emissions, and replacing fossil fuel resources. M. x giganteus is one of the promising C4 perennial bioenergy crops because it produces higher biomass and displays a larger solar energy conversion efficiency than other crops. I collected biomass production and N2O emissions of M. x giganteus from published literature in the United States and Europe and conducted a meta-analysis using a mixed-effects model to assess the effects of management practices and environmental factors on biomass production and N2O emissions in M. x giganteus systems.
