A researcher with the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology seeks a summer/fall volunteer to assist with Python programming.

What you need to know-

  • The initial development of the tool might take a month
  • The method will be refined through experimental evaluation in real applications
  • This refinement process might take a few months
  • The engagement of the programming will be intense in the initial implementation, but it will be reduced during the refinement
  • Program a python scrip that will stream audio signal in real-time through the audio port
  • The audio signal is a real-time capture of respiratory cycle of a subject during MRI and will drive a solenoid coil near the MRI magnet to compensate the respiration effect on the MRI signal
  • The research will provide data for the python programming development that can be programmed by the volunteer at home
  • The volunteer will need to conduct the actual experiment at the MRI site

If you got the gist of all of that and need to refine your programming and experimentation skills before graduation, contact Kwan-Jim for next steps.
