As the academic year winds down, summer is an important time to prepare for what’s next. SPARK is a workshop designed to help students be intentional about using their summer to support long-term career planning.
This workshop will guide you through practical ways to make the most of your summer. You’ll learn strategies to maximize an internship experience, identify meaningful alternatives to internships, build skills employers and graduate programs value, and explore career interests through networking. We’ll also discuss how to reflect on your experiences, track accomplishments, and use campus resources like The Career Center and Handshake to support your goals.
There is no single “right” way to spend your summer. Progress looks different for everyone. SPARK will help you identify personalized actions that align with your interests, strengths, and values—so your summer experiences can spark your career in unexpected and meaningful ways
