This interactive session shares best practices for beginning a mentoring relationship in a research context, including topics like assessing mentee goals, setting expectations, and communication styles. Participants will learn concrete strategies to set themselves and their mentees for success. This session fulfills part of the workshop requirement for the Graduate College Mentoring Certificate.
