Faculty from the Program in Jewish Culture & Society and across campus will join Illini Hillel staff, students, and community members for a Shabbat dinner at the Cohen Center for Jewish Life.
Dinner is at 7. We generally gather in the main lobby/lounge area on the first floor for some traditional blessings/songs before heading in for dinner. You can check with Illini Hillel for the latest protocols, but I believe that all attendees will be asked to present their Illinois Building Access (through the app), proof of vaccination, or a recent negative COVID test. Masks are not required.
If you would like to attend Friday night services, you should plan to arrive by 6. (Reform services are generally held downstairs; conservative/orthodox minyans usually meet on the second floor, when there is sufficient demand.)
