Dr. Liat Maggid Alon, Israel Institute Visiting Scholar, will discuss contemporary Israeli television, what it represents, and its cultural impact. 

Liat Maggid Alon is an Israel Institute Visiting Scholar in the Program in Jewish Culture & Society and the Department of History during the 2019-2020 academic year. Maggid Alon is a historian of the modern Middle East with expertise in women, gender, and family, especially the Jewish community of Egypt. Maggid Alon earned a Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
