Illinois Hunt Camp 2022 – Where hunters come together

Saturday October 1st, 5 PM to 11 PM

Quarry Cable Park, Crystal Lake Illinois

Illinois Hunt Camp is a new type of collaborative event and it’s all about bringing hunters together. Hunters and trappers of all types and abilities are encouraged to attend. This is your chance to network in the outdoors communities of Illinois, and maybe even win a mentored hunt with an established outdoorsperson in the FREE Hunt Raffle.

Food will be included and available throughout the evening or until we run out of burgers and dogs for the grills. There will be a full bar on site, drinks are not included in the ticket price unfortunately, but will be available for purchase from the Quarry until 11 PM.

There will be a 4 vs. 4 sand volleyball tournament, a 2 vs. 2 cornhole/bags tournament and Outdoors Trivia that will be free to enter. Outdoors and hunting related prizes for all the winners!

Come make some new friends, learn about hunting and trapping and the different outdoor organizations out there. Many in attendance will win a mentored hunt. The hunt raffle is free to enter with admission to Hunt Camp – plus there are bonus tickets available if you are a member, or become a member, of an outdoor group!

All games, raffles, parking and food will be FREE with admission to Hunt Camp! You would only need $ for drinks from the bar and to sign up for any outdoors groups that fit your fancy if you so desire. Cards will be accepted by most if not all outdoors groups to take memberships and by the Quarry bar for drinks.

This collaborative event is brought to you by: Pheasants Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation, Delta Waterfowl, Safari Club International, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Fur Takers of America, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Conservation Foundation and Illinois Learn to Hunt.

With everyone coming together for this event, its going to be one you aren’t going to want to miss. Open to 21 and over – bring your friends and make some new ones!

Tentative Schedule

5-7 PM Outdoors Skills Tables – Come learn or chat about some outdoors skills. We will have tables set up with different themes like: Knife sharpening, Wildlife Biology and Habitat, and Trapping and Predator Calling. Come and talk, share stories or practice and learn a new skill.

7-9 PM Games – 4v4 volleyball, 2v2 cornhole/bags, and Outdoors and Hunting Trivia. All will be free to enter with hunting related prizes for the winners. Hunt Camp staff will help connect individuals with teams on site if needed.

9-930 PM Raffle for Hunt Donors – Everyone who donates a hunt or other outdoor experience will be entered into this free drawing for some useful outdoor gear like binoculars and other hunting equipment.

930-10 PM Hunt Raffle – This raffle is also free to enter for all Hunt Camp attendees and has bonus tickets available if you are or become a member of an outdoor group. Mentored hunts and other outdoor opportunities will be listed on cards, along with what the winner will need to participate (licenses, equipment and etc.) and you will be able to choose which hunts or other outdoor experiences you want to win by where you put your tickets.
