Description: This training is effective for both board members and nonprofit directors. Participants will leave with a high-level overview of board roles & responsibilities when it comes to nonprofit fundraising, tips for supporting board members in fundraising, and important factors for your organization to consider when pursuing fundraising.
Modality: This is a hybrid event and will be held in-person as well as live-streamed via UIS Zoom.
Speaker: Jerome’ (🗣Jeremy) R. Holston is the owner and founder of J.R. Holston Consulting, a firm specializing in supporting nonprofits and small businesses to create purposeful impact. Jerome’ has more than ten years of experience in working with nonprofit, government, and private businesses to advance board participation, community and employee engagement, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. Jerome' is a 2013 alum of the University of Illinois - Springfield Masters of Public Administration program and has a Certificate in Nonprofit Management, and has completed a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting with BoardSource.
