You know that fulfilling your organization’s mission costs money. You also know that grant funding is one piece of a diverse funding plan. Applying for grants, however, is time-consuming and requires specialized expertise. This introductory session is designed for nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers with little or no experience writing a grant proposal. Kristin Olson will dispel the myths of grantmaking and describe the difference between public- and private-sector grants. Participants will learn how to structure a grant proposal and receive numerous tips on how to increase their chances of being awarded a grant.

About Kristin Olson: Ms. Olson, Grant Writing Specialist with Grants Galore, has submitted more than 500 grant proposals over the past 21 years. With a success rate of 54%, she has secured $158 million in grant funds and government contracts for U.S. nonprofits and units of local government.
