Sponsored by the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and hosted at Indiana University Indianapolis, the Roads to Removal symposium is designed specifically to help identify how carbon dioxide removal (CDR) opportunities and technologies might be effectively utilized in the state of Indiana. Topics will follow the nationwide Roads to Removal assessment, a detailed analysis of the costs, impacts, job opportunities, and potential for CDR across the United States.
This free, two-day symposium is open to the public (in-person attendance only) and designed for regional and community leaders, corporations, stakeholder associations as well as local farmers and agricultural professionals. Special attention will be given to how carbon dioxide removal might directly benefit local farmers, enhance soil health, improve crop yields, and integrate seamlessly with existing farming practices and economic development goals in the region.
This symposium is ideal for anyone interested in discovering new, economical and ecological ways to contribute to and benefit from the nation’s greenhouse gas reduction goals. Attendees will learn about agricultural practices, industry opportunities and technologies to mitigate climate change as well as the work Indiana University is contributing in the field of carbon removal.
