I wanted to alert you to an exciting Unit conference on climate change to be held on Sept 13-15, 2018, with a keynote by Anna Tsing (UC-Santa Cruz), who will be on campus as a Unit Nicholson Distinguished Visiting Scholar. Please save the dates and we very much hope you will consider incorporating the event into your Fall syllabi.

The conference is the result of year-long planning and discussions among a multi-disciplinary group of faculty and will bring together some of the leading figures in the field. The conference is a collaboration between the Unit for Criticism, Social Dimensions of Environmental Policy (SDEP), the School of Art+Design, and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). The conference includes 3D and VR data visualization presentations, a pop-up art exhibition, a roundtable, panels, and a closing conversation on experiments in collaboration. Save the Dates!
