Ben Lerner is the author of eight books of poetry and prose as well as several collaborations with visual artists. His new book of poetry, "The Lights", was just published by FSG, and his most recent novel, "The Topeka School", won the Los Angeles Times Book Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He received fellowships from the Fullbright, Guggenheim, and MacArthur Foundations, among other honors, and is a Distinguished Professor of English at Brooklyn College.

This event will be recorded and posted online at a later date for those who are unable to attend.

This event is part of the Greenfield Lynch Lecture Series, an annual lecture on Jewish American literature and literary studies jointly organized by the Department of English and the Program in Jewish Culture & Society. It is made possible through the generous donation from Deborah Lynch in honor of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Michael Greenfield, and her daughter, Samantha Lynch.
