Rethinking the Rights of Children
April 9, 2024

Children have both more rights and fewer rights than do adults. Does the law adequately protect the particular interests of children? Do distinctions the law draws between adults and children make sense? Are there new considerations that should prompt a rethinking of the rights of children? We’ll take up these questions from multiple perspectives--including constitutional law, family law, health law, educational law, and criminal law--and draw lessons from the United States and abroad.
