Thirty-eight days before the 2020 election President Trump nominated a new Supreme Court Justice. Democrats oppose proceeding on the nomination and they vow to expand the size of the Supreme Court should they capture Congress and the White House this season. Court challenges to election processes and results are probable: states have adjusted their voting procedures in light of the coronavirus pandemic and many more voters than usual plan to cast their ballots by mail. How will the 2020 election impact the Supreme Court? What roles might the Supreme Court be called upon to play in the election itself? A panel of election law and Court experts will tackle these and related questions.
