"A Strong Finish: Mental Health Resiliency
During COVID-19 and Beyond"

12-1 PM

This one-hour presentation will cover general information on mental health resiliency during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The presentation will include information focused on understanding the resilience process, the keys to being resilient, and how legal practitioners can apply these concepts and techniques in their workplace. This course is designed as a beginner to intermediate level course.

Course Outline:

    • Common mental health and well-being experiences during COVID-19
    • Facts and Figures for attorneys
    • Value of resiliency
  • 12:10 – 12:55 P.M. Resiliency Concepts (45 minutes)
    • Definitions
    • Myths associated with resiliency
    • Facts about resiliency
    • Building Resilience
    • Context and reality of resiliency related to COVID 19 and Mental Well Being
  • 12:55 – 1 P.M. Questions and Discussion (5 minutes)

Speaker Information:

Sarra Reichwald, MS.Ed, CPTD has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan, and holds Master of Science in Education with a specialization in adult learning from Northern Illinois University. She has 10+ years of clinical experience working in community mental health, where she provided case management, crisis intervention, and community outreach. Sarra currently works as the Director of Education and Staff Development at Rosecrance Health Network, where she oversees and coordinates training and education for all Rosecrance employees. Sarra has advanced training and expertise in a number of areas including mental health, leadership development, learning and development theory and practice, and talent development.

Purvi Shah Khare, J.D., CHC, CHPC, is the Director of Corporate Compliance for Rosecrance Health Network, a nationally recognized behavioral health provider with over 50 treatment locations in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. She is the Director of Corporate Compliance and the Privacy Officer for all Rosecrance affiliates and entities. Ms. Shah leads her department by overseeing internal and external auditing and serving as a resource for complex compliance and confidentiality issues. She initiated and leads the organizational risk management committees and reports to the Board of Directors. Ms. Shah is also responsible for identifying new regulations and their effects on the organization.

This course is approved for 1.00 Illinois MCLE general credit hour and 1.00 Illinois Professional Responsibility (Mental Health and Substance Abuse) credit hour.
