Supreme Court Precedents at Home and Abroad: The Transnational Journey of Brown
Tuesday, February 28, 2023
12:00 - 1:00 pm

Brown v. Board of Education (1954) is a landmark Supreme Court decision. Yet as briefing and oral argument in the Court’s most recent affirmative action cases demonstrate, there remains considerable debate over how Brown should best be understood.
Cem Tecimer (Harvard Law School) will present his research on the conflicting invocations and uses of Brown in courts at home and abroad.
Lunch for attendees.
