The Kavanaugh Nomination and the Future of the Supreme Court

Tuesday, September 18, 2018
12 - 1:15 p.m.
Max L. Rowe Auditorium
Law Building

Sponsored by the Program on Constitutional Theory, History and Law.

Justice Anthony Kennedy has retired from the Supreme Court and President Donald J. Trump has nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill the vacancy. During his three decades of service on the Court, Justice Kennedy cast the deciding vote in a long list of cases. What will the transition from Kennedy to Kavanaugh mean for the Supreme Court and for the future direction of the law? Faculty experts--some of whom know Judge Kavanaugh personally--will discuss what lies ahead.
