“Substance Use: Recognizing and Understanding Risk of Substance Abuse”

This 60-minute presentation will provide general information about substance use and abuse, including signs and symptoms, commonly abused substances, and how substance use impacts attorneys vs. the general population. This course is designed as a beginner to intermediate level course to introduce information about substance abuse.
About the Presenter:
Sarra Reichwald has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan, and holds a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in adult learning from Northern Illinois University. She has over 10 years of clinical experience working with adults in the community mental health field, where she provided case management, crisis intervention, and community outreach. Sarra currently works as the Director of Education and Staff Development at Rosecrance Health Network, where she oversees and coordinates training and education for all Rosecrance employees. Sarra is a Certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, as well as a CPI Certified Non Violent Crisis Intervention instructor.
The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism approved this course for 1.00 hours professional responsibility credit.
