The Peer Mentoring Center was created to help undergraduate students succeed in and outside the classroom, build community among students, and create a welcoming environment. It will run October 6-December 10 (excluding the week of November 24) on Mondays (5-8pm), Tuesdays (5-8pm), and Wednesdays (6-8pm).
Mentors will help you prepare to approach course staff, identify student organization that may be of interest to you, and provide advice regarding internships and other out-of-the-classroom experiences.
The PMC is not a tutoring program and the mentor does not provide the same kind of assistance that a CA or TA would. Also, it does not replace the official advice of your advisors in the school.
