Mental health is a challenging topic for people of all backgrounds to discuss.

However, we believe that due to stereotypes and misconceptions about their population, there are certain groups of people that experience more difficulty in being open about mental health and seeking out the appropriate help. One such group are males, suffering from stereotypes about masculinity, believing that talking about internal struggles is a kind of “weakness”.

To combat these myths, the CS Mental Health Committee presents the Male Mental Health Panel on Wednesday, November 4th at 7 pm CDT! We’re here to provide a comfortable platform for everyone, and male students, in particular, to engage in open discussion and ask questions about anything with respect to mental health.

Take the first steps in breaking the stigma and hear from panelists representing the CS Mental Health Committee, Active Minds, the School of Social Work, and the Counseling Center!

Join us at go.csmhcillinois.com/male-mental-health! We look forward to seeing everyone there! Stay tuned for more details on speakers and panelists!
