Please join the Mayo Clinic and Illinois Alliance on Monday, Sept. 11 at 3:30 p.m. in the Beckman Institute Atrium to celebrate Illinois' 2023 cohort of Mayo Clinic Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF) and the inaugural cohort of Illinois students participating in the Health Equity Research Experience (HERE) at Mayo Clinic. Light refreshments will be served.
For 10 weeks this summer, these outstanding undergraduates became fully immersed in the research and culture of a major medical center with top-notch scientists and worked in the laboratories of Mayo Clinic faculty on small research projects or as part of ongoing investigations. The SURF cohort tested their inclinations toward a career in biomedical research and the HERE cohort examined health equity through hands-on research.
During the poster session, you will have the opportunity to meet the fellows and learn more about their Mayo Clinic research projects. Following the poster session, we will highlight some of both cohorts’ experiences, and recognize the great work they did this summer.
