The Mayo Clinic’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program places undergraduate students from across the nation in a host lab at Mayo Clinic. For 10 weeks, students become fully-immersed in the research and culture of a major medical center. Since 2012, five or more SURF fellowships have been exclusively reserved for Illinois students. These SURFs are sponsored through the Mayo Clinic & Illinois Alliance and their home department at Illinois. Illinois pre-selection opened Sept. 27 and will close Nov. 7.
