Join the Departments of Latina/Latino Studies and Gender and Women's Studies for the Reproductive Justice Symposium: a space for conversation between leading scholars of reproduction and the campus community.
Professors Lina-Maria Murillo (UT Austin) and Jallicia Jolly (Amherst) will discuss their new books followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
Dr Lina-Maria Murillo is Associate Professor in the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She is the author of Fighting for Control: Power, Reproductive Care, and Race in the U.S-Mexico Borderlands (UNC Press 2025).
Dr. Jallicia Jolly is an Assistant Professor in American Studies and Black Studies at Amherst College. She is the author of Ill Erotics: Black Jamaica Women and Self-Making in the Time of HIV/AIDS (UC Press 2026).
