Constitution Day 2026
The Declaration of Independence at 250 and American ConstitutionalismLegal principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence animated the Revolutionary War and shaped the American system of constitutional government that followed. Faculty experts will revisit that history and discuss some implications for law and politics today. The College of Law is honored to host the annual Constitution Day event on behalf of the University of Illinois, in commemoration of the formation and signing on September 17, 1787, of the Constitution.
