Four one-hour Zoom meetings (plus pre-class homework)

This course will study, and analyze the lessons for the labor movement, of four recent workers’ rights movements:  2011-12 Occupy Wall Street, 2011 Wisconsin Labor Upsurge, 2012-19 Teachers’ Strikes, and the 2012-20 Fight for Fifteen movement.  We will also discuss how workers can organize during and after the pandemic.  For this course, students will be expected to review some reading and videos before each class, as the Zoom meetings will be discussion-focused.
