Abstract – There are exciting changes taking place across all areas of the space enterprise.  Aerospace is committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists.  Here what recent graduates of UIUC in Computer Engineering have to say about why you should start thinking about future in communications and space.

Speakers:

Mark Kubiak, Signal Processing Engineer, The Aerospace Corporation

Mark graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and is currently pursuing M.S. at UCLA. He works in the Digital Communication Implementation Department at The Aerospace Corporation, focusing on prototype Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) and optical communications solutions.

Doug Baney, Machine Learning Engineer, The Aerospace Corporation

Doug graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2019 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. Soon after, he joined the Communication Software Implementation Department at The Aerospace Corporation and has been working primarily within the intersection of software defined radios and AI/ML.
