Take advantage of this opportunity to get FREE patent or trademark assistance! The IP Clinic includes two Tracks; the Patent Track and the Trademark Track. In the Patent Track, law students work with student entrepreneurs and write a full patent application with regard to their innovation. The Trademark Track allows law students to advise selected companies on trademark matters and prepare trademark applications. Companies selected for the Patent Track will have a preference for participation in the Trademark Track.
In this program law students prepare patent and/or trademark applications for selected participants from the Cozad New Venture Challenge, iVenture Accelerator, and the Illinois Innovation Prize entrants. The patent and/or trademark applications are prepared for free under the supervision of Professor Joseph Barich. The value provided by this program to student startups is about $10,000-$12,000 per patent application for each student/team and $2,000-$2,500 per trademark application.
