Campuswire is a FERPA-compliant discussion board and communication tool for courses, and is being offered to campus as an alternative to Piazza. Campuswire includes a Markdown and LaTeX editor, and is useful for consolidating class discussions into one messaging platform. Faculty and students in a course can ask questions, rank responses, and send messages to the entire class or a group. Mobile apps are available for iOS and Android devices (Mac and Windows desktop apps coming soon). AD roster sync and Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities are not available at this time. Please see the Tech Services guide about Campuswire for more details and links to additional resources: https://answers.uillinois.edu/illinois/104844
If you would like to begin experimenting right away, you can access the Getting Started video at https://www.loom.com/share/8bbb669573264ad5be332e0bd170eafc. You can also visit Campuswire’s Help Center at https://intercom.help/campuswireHQ/en/.
