How To Make Money On The (New) Internet with Michael McNulty

Friday, November 17, 2023, 12:00 – 1:00 PM

Everyone knows that the world of blockchain and crypto open up new ways to make money on the internet. You can mine tokens, like on Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH). You can also operate a stake pool, like on Cardano (ADA). But these can require significant startup capital, as well as niche technical expertise. This talk will explore some lesser known ways to make money (and build skills) in these emerging digital economies. No background - and definitely no permission - required.

Joining us this month will be Michael McNulty, a product manager for Project Catalyst, the decentralized grant program that has allocated over $60M to fund innovation on Cardano. He builds tools that help distributed communities make verifiable decisions to transparently achieve shared goals.

Michael studied economics and philosophy at University of Chicago where he first started learning about the power of incentives to shape decisions. When he’s not working to bring the world’s first network state to life, Mike enjoys spending time with his 6-month old baby, and training in the fine art of trying to choke your friends while wearing oversized pajamas.

We will meet in the Enterprise Works building at Research Park where there is open parking for guests and a CUMTD bus stop nearby. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP to reserve your spot!

Held on the third Friday of the month, 12 to 1pm. For more information and to RSVP, please click here.
