Please join the University of Illinois Research Park for an online training session with leading experts from UL and EMERGO by UL, https://www.ul.com/healthcare-and-life-sciences, on Medical Device Regulatory Market Access in Times of a National Emergency. This will be an opportunity to connect with industry leaders on bringing technology to market that might help address needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. We recognize that inventors, scientists, and entrepreneurs from Illinois are working on new product development and modification of existing products to address the needs.
This session will provide information on what is needed to do get a modified or new product cleared for safety, including:
- Clinical and other QMS documentation (EMERGO)
- Human Factors concerns (EMERGO)
- Applicable standards (UL)
- Applicable certifications (UL)
- Cybersecurity (UL)
We invite partners from across Illinois to join this session that are interested in these technology adoption and safety parameters as they work to address the market need. There will be presentations from 2:00-3:00pm followed by open Q&A for participants and “office hours”.
This will not be a session specific to localized needs from the healthcare community or University of Illinois efforts related to COVID-19. More information on the University of Illinois specific response can be found here: https://covid19.illinois.edu/.
